Every once and a while, I go back into my archives of mixtapes that can’t be found on streaming platforms to check out 4Eva and a Day, my personal favorite mixtape by Big K.R.I.T. from Mississippi.
K.R.I.T. is from the same stock as J. Cole, a rapper that produces and makes his own soul-sampling, but even more bass-thumping, beats. He tends to make creative, deep south, music reminiscent of the Dungeon Family ( OutKast, Goodie Mob, etc.) with a more pensive and thought-provoking side similar to her more current peers. K.R.I.T. produces, sings, and raps, but his immense amount of talent is often forgotten when talking about the Top 5 of this current generation. However, his showmanship and work ethic unmatched.

As if it was heard by the Gods (or if read off Twitter), Big K.R.I.T. turned and released a new single and dropped a DOUBLE album today. 4Eva is a Mighty Long Time is out today and he released the first single from it today.

Now excuse me as I listen to this album for the rest of the weekend.
