Everything needs a focus.
I’ve been writing on Everything’s Magnificent for a long time and just starting to get an idea of what I want it to become. Hence, the creation of the four core guiding philosophies of Everything’s Magnificent or the Pillars of Light, as I like to call them.
1. Love

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
1 John 4:7-8
Love is the one thing that I truly believe that proves God’s existence. It functions just like God. It’s everlasting, constant, and incredibly spontaneous. Love cannot be predicted, controlled, or fully understood. It even has plenty of deceivers that masquerade like it but eventually pale in comparison (lust). Love is so supreme, that it’s brought the most powerful men to their knees. Yet, when wielded by the wrong people, it can be misinterpreted and corrupted to destroy many lives.
There is immense responsibility in love. It contains so many different elements including sacrifice and compassion. Love is also an action verb, meaning that love is not static, it is constantly evolving and moving. Everything’s Magnificent purpose will always be to Love the Lord your God first and love your neighbor as you love yourself second.
We love because he first loved us
1 John 4:19
2. Freedom

The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
Luke 4:18
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free…
If we look at the Bible in its entirety, the story of Israel from Adam until Jesus is a rescue mission. God sent his only Son to set us free from sin to embrace freedom within Christ. Over and over again we see a trend of Israel becoming a slave to a foreign nation, and their minds and hearts to be lost, and God sending a Judge/Savior/King to free them from their bondage. This is literal but also a larger metaphor for life. God intended us to have a certain fullness, freedom, and joy in our lives. Freedom in the physical, mental, and spiritual.
Everything’s Magnificent is dedicated to talking about mental health awareness, how that interacts on various levels of intersectionality including spirituality, and general health. Fitness, dieting, and even politics all intertwine with understanding and gaining freedom in Christ.
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
John 8:36
3. Truth

We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
1 John 4:6
Truth and honesty, and in contrast, lies, and deception are mentioned countless times in the Bible. The Spirit of Truth (Jesus) versus the Author of Lies (Satan) is the underlying battle for our souls in the Bible. Even though the ending has already been foretold, lies are what cause sin, cloud our minds, and lead us down a pathway to hardship. The thing about lies is that they look good but lead to otherwise.
Everything’s Magnificent is determined to continuously create spaces and platforms for people of different backgrounds to walk in truth. This means allowing people to be authentic and honest selves wherever they are in that walk. This also creates space for me to invite people that are not of the same faith or background to talk about their lives. It is not my place to judge but to shed light and allow God to do the rest.
He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.
James 1:18
4. Passion

… He has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze…
Exodus 35:31-32
God is a creative. He is the master weaver of dreams, lives, and so much more. He is the one that gives us our knowledge, understanding, and skills. Embracing that is the key to a fulfilling life. What has He given you?
Everything’s Magnificent is also a place for creatives. Do you dance? Do you draw? Do you write? Do you not have a creative bone in your body? This is still a place for you. Whether it is thought, conversations, expression, or whatever wakes you up in the morning, you have a home.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters…
Colossians 3:23
These four concepts are themes that are critical to a Christian life, but also life itself. I’m going to share my development, projects, and any close friends’ works across all four pillars along the way. But, like any great building or structure, you must have a solid foundation to build upon. Mine will always be…
