Still water, untouched and unmoved, almost appearing as glass, reaching far beyond the horizon into the unknown. Clear blue skies enable you to see the shore and the wind feels good on your skin. Everything is perfect as you sail out to parts unknown. You can still close your eyes and envision the crowd of loved ones cheering you on as you set out for another quest. Life is good, until it isn’t.
It’s Okay to Be a Work in Progress
I graduated in 2015. Life was good. I was happy and comfortable with life. It was weird. I thought I had everything under control. I had a grip on where I wanted to go and who I wanted to be. So many things made since then. Fast forward to today and I’ve been brought to my knees.
If I Knew Then… Pt. 2 (Growing Up)
Growing up is somewhat blindsiding. You expect things to be one way and then the sheer weight of the world starts to press back harder than you expected. There are so many things that I wish I was taught while growing up instead of learning things the hard way. Last week’s post focused finances and things not being explained clearly this week focuses on childhood versus adulthood.
